Visa Processing

Kindly login to the website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html to fill out your online application form for a Medical Visa.
  • Passport with a six-month validity
  • Passport size photograph taken recently
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the treatment
  • Residential address proof in your home country
  • All medical documents, prescriptions, and diagnostic results.
  • Letter from a certified medical centre in India with details of your medical condition, treatment duration, and the name of the specialist treating you.
Upon completing the online application, foreigners are required to obtain a printed copy of the application form and present it, along with the necessary documents, at the Indian Embassy/Consulate in their home country.
Generally, the processing time for a medical visa is two to three days. However, the duration may take longer in some cases.
Once your medical visa is issued, you may travel to your destination in India for treatment. Once you arrive in India, you must register with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) within 14 days of your arrival.
In the event that your treatment duration exceeds the validity of the Medical Visa, you may seek a visa extension at the FRRO in India.
